Cape Fear Jazz Society & Bellamy Mansion Present Jazz at the Mansion

It's that time of year again. Warm nights and cool jazz under the sky at the historic Bellamy Mansion. You'll be surrounded by great restaurants, lots of culture and no end of charm. Kick back, spread out a blanket and enjoy a picnic dinner while we serve up our best ever Jazz @ Bellamy Mansion concerts. Afterward enjoy a stroll along the Cape Fear River. “Cindy "Rainne" Hospedales' life is music. She's a student and a teacher of it, but perhaps most importantly, she's a passionate performer, writer and singer.  To call Hospedales "versatile" would be to sell her short. She's an in-demand singer of jazz standards, when she's not being asked to perform in musical theater. She's the minister of music at her church. Darryl Donnell Murrill is a saxophonist with extraordinary ability! He truly has the wherewithal to make the saxophone sing with a unique flare rooted in Gospel and with much Jazz influence.  He is a singer, producer and song-writer who plays more than five different instruments.  Whether accompanied by a full band or alone, Darryl tantalizes his saxaphone that enriches listeners as they relax to the sounds of smooth jazz. Jeff Sipe Trio – Two-time Grammy nominee Jeff Sipe brings together the incredible virtuosos Mike Seal on guitar and Taylor Lee on bass to form the Jeff Sipe Trio. An alumni of Berklee College of Music and with 30 years as a professional drummer, Sipe has established himself among the great drummers in the United States. He has toured and/or recorded with highly renowned artists such as Bela Fleck and Phil Lesh. July 4th 6:30 PM @ Bellamy Mansion

El Jaye Johnson has been seriously involved with music since age ten, and has developed a deep passion for music and the desire to help others to also appreciate music's many benefits.  El Jaye is a jazz, R&B, blues and reggae musicion as well as a funk singer.  He will focus on smooth jazz with a few other favorites in th mix.  It is always a great time at his concerts.

August 29th 6:30 PM @ Bellamy Mansion

This will be a memorable finale to our summer program.  With Alan Neese on trumpet and Scott Adair on saxophone, the Alan Neese Jazz Project sextet is going to bring the classics of the 1940's and 1950's to life again.  They play tunes discovered and written down by Al.
